Anthropology♥

Before entering university, when i was sixteen years old approximately, I thought I would like all the subjects of the university, but this was not so. I suffered with biology, mathematics of engineers and economics course.  During the second year of baccalaureate I chose the subject of anthropology, and, this year in odontology I went back to studying this subject again.

For me, is so interesting studying the past of human beings and his relations with other groups. In baccalaureate, the teacher told his stories when visiting the south and their customs and traditions some of their inhabitants. The classes were very entertaining, for the same reason I attended all classes.

This year, I had to study this subject again, however, the change was due to the focus of the course. Now the knowledge is applied more in dental subjects, patients and ways of curing their dental diseases, taking into account the traditions and customs that they have.

One of the points because I like anthropology is the undeniable connection with the odontology. Is important studying odontology learning the importance of the past, our ancestors and his habits (in topics of dietary habits & lifestyle). It helps us to understand why we are as we are.

Finally, the last point because i like the anthropology is the application of this in forensic odontology, this specialization mix both areas. Help in the identification of corpses, serial killers among other reasons so from my point of view is useful and necessary.
